Field Guide to Trees of Southern Africa
Written and photographed by two of the leading tree authorities in southern Africa, Field Guide to Trees of southern Africa is the authoritative tree guide in the southern African book market. It covers approximately 900 of the species found in the region. Designed with the non-specialist in mind, trees are arranged in colour-coded groups based on easy-to-observe leaf and stem characters. Each species account is illustrated with at least one full-colour photograph of the plant's most readily identifiable part or parts, and a distribution map shows its range. The text also touches on the practical uses of plants; supplementary features include useful notes on tree identification and an extensive illustrated glossary.
