Umuzi, one of the imprints of Random House Struik (Pty) Ltd, under normal circumstances publishes accessible literary fiction with a South African flavour, and non-fiction that offers a fresh, culturally significant perspective on the country.

We unfortunately do not publish children's books or short stories, unless by an author already on our backlist. Only a limited number of poetry titles, by established poets, will appear under the Umuzi imprint.

Publishing mainly in English, Umuzi however also provides a home for good Afrikaans writing.
